Rigoberto Mena Santana (b. 1961) is a renowned Cuban artist currently living and working in Raleigh, North Carolina. Mena Santana is a member of the Taller Experimental de Gráfica de La Habana and has been a guest artist at various international institutions and events, including the Dupont Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, MA, USA, and the Ninth Havana Biennial in Cuba.
Throughout his career, Mena Santana has had numerous solo exhibitions in different parts of the world, including Merida, Mexico; Miami, Florida; Los Angeles, California; Chicago, Illinois; Havana, Cuba; Xalapa, Mexico; and Berlin, Germany, among others. His works, which cover a wide range of themes and styles, have been exhibited in prestigious galleries and museums, both in Cuba and in other countries such as the United States, Mexico, Italy, Germany, and more. In addition, his work is part of important public and private collections around the world, including the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de Cuba, the MOLAA in Long Beach, California, and the Cisneros Fontanals Collection in Miami, Florida, among others. Mena Santana has participated in major international art fairs, such as ARCO in Madrid, Arte Brussels in Belgium, Art Cologne in Germany, and ArtBo in Colombia, consolidating his presence in the global art scene.
