Andrey Quintana Lamas (1984) is an outstanding visual artist whose artistic training spans several renowned institutions in his country. Graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts “San Alejandro” in 2002 and later from the Higher Institute of Art (ISA) in 2008, Quintana Lamas has cultivated a solid career in the art world.
With a professional experience that includes periods as a professor of Natural Drawing, Representation Techniques and Descriptive Geometry at the Instituto Superior de Diseño (ISDI) between 2008 and 2012, Quintana Lamas has combined his teaching work with a prolific artistic production.
His personal exhibitions have been received with great interest both in Cuba and abroad, with events such as “Gunshot” at the Servando Cabrera Gallery in Havana in 2020 and “Implosion” at the Carmelo Gonzalez Gallery in 2017 standing out. Likewise, his participation in group exhibitions has contributed to consolidate his reputation as an artist of international relevance, with shows in renowned galleries in cities such as Havana, Boston, Amsterdam and Mexico City.
Quintana Lamas’ works are part of private collections in countries from Cuba to the Netherlands, reflecting the global reach of his artistic impact.
